Reaching Your Goals – Are you spending your time on what you want most?

Now that you know what you want and why, you need to make time to achieve it! Are you making time for what you want? Future goals are achieved by the decision you are making today! Think about how you spent your time yesterday. Did you spend time on reaching your goals and what you want? Did you make intentional actions to create your dreams?

One of my goals was to become a Life Coach. To figure out if I was making Life Coaching a top priority in my life I made a list of everything I did yesterday. In the last 12 hours was life coaching a priority? Did I think about it and take action? Was I dedicating one of our most greatest assets, TIME, to what I wanted most?

This can bring up lots of lots of thoughts and feelings. You might be thinking:

  • I didn’t have time yesterday.
  • I don’t want to put pressure on myself to fit something in and be overwhelmed.
  • Yesterday was an exception.
  • I am so tired!
  • I don’t have time for what I want.
  • I have set goals before and haven’t achieved them and felt disappointed.

Reaching our goals or what you want will take time, work and focus. If we didn’t make it a priority yesterday. What can we do to make it a priority today? What is something small we can do to take one step closer to our goal? For me it was taking 15 minutes a day to write in my blog about life coaching.

Did that small bit of time make a difference?

I started to build trust in myself. It helped me realize I can make time for me amongst 5 kids and a full time job. It helped me honor my commitments and reminded me of what I wanted most, to be a life coach.

Making time for what you want helps us give direction and focus to our lives and brain. Are you reacting to what is happening around you or are you dreaming and allowing yourself to have what your want? Our brain has its own agenda and it can be detrimental to our life. Our lives might go in a direction we didn’t want it to go. You are ALWAY going to create your results by what you do each day. Knowing what you want and taking small actions each day help you on the path to success and move forward to achieve your goal!
