Reaching Your Goals – Why do you want it?
I remind my kids all the time – you can achieve anything you put your mind to, dream big! I believe this to be true, DO YOU? Once we know what we want the next step is to get curious and investigate the brain, why do I want it? What is the motivation that I have to achieve it? We have to understand our why so we can have the strength to overcome the challenges that come up as we begin. Your why needs to be strong enough to bring feelings of motivation, determination and excitement to fight for the things you want in your life. You need to be intentionally on your thoughts as our brain likes to stay safe and do what it has always done which keeps us stuck.

Once you know what you want, think about what thoughts come into your head when you say it. Laura is a life coach was one of the goals I had. When I think about myself achieving it what thoughts come into my head.
- I can’t do it
- What if I fail
- How do I do it
- I’m not good enough
- I don’t have time
Understanding what your brain is telling you will help you overcome something you couldn’t do before!
Many of us haven’t allowed ourselves to dream. We live in a world of scarcity, barely getting by and reacting to life. Wanting something we don’t have brings up feelings of fear and lack. Our brain fights us on our goals because it wants things to stay the same, be safe and be efficient. It can cause us pain to just think about wanting something we don’t have. Thinking about what we want versus what we have can be difficult. As we get curious, explore how our thoughts make us feel we can begin to see that our lives are created in our brain unintentionally. BUT as we chose thoughts that inspire and bring us closer to what we truly want, we will begin to see our lives change and create a life we have always wanted.
